I learned to give not because I had many,
but because I know exactly how it feels to have nothing.
Recently, I took a workshop with Sue Pelland and can’t believe how easy her new rulers and techniques make piecing and appliqué! Can’t wait to finish my table top piece and will post for all to see.
I’ve listed her website for everyone to check out.
Too much snow. . .
2012 was a rough year. . .here’s to making 2013 healthy and meaningful.
Don’t forget to get your FREE Annual Credit Report. It really is free and you get one report from each of three agencies once a year. https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp
I must first give praise to the ladies at Missouri Star Quilt Company on YouTube. They have wonderful, clear, instructive, videos with ‘how-to’s’. Their link is on the sidebar. I was so inspired by this one technique that I bought some jelly-rolls from Shawna at www.1Choice4Quilting.com and finished in a day and 1/2 (babysat the grandkids in between or would have been done in a day).
The ladies in my Guild say this is an old technique recently resurrected. I used Moda Buttercup and Bella Solid for this one but have plans to do another and make the colors more focused to their placement.
I ‘surf’ the internet, socialize on FaceBook, and email my friends – but until recently, didn’t realize how much is really out there.
My recent vacation gave me time to look around and I have found SO many new ways to learn new techniques and share ideas and projects with other quilters. . . FREE. . . EVERYWHERE! I will be sharing some of my favorite new-found sites and recent projects shortly. Still new at this so bear with me.
Treated myself to a GO! and love it. Saves tons of cutting time and is quick and easy to set up, use, and put away.
